Three Reasons You Should Sign Up For Dice Company’s Email Updates

What’s so good about Dice Company’s email updates? OK, so we’re down the rabbit hole here – marketing for our marketing. But bear with us. It’s less boring than it seems.

We care about our podcast and our listeners. Our simple goals are: give the audience a good time, and add more people to that audience.

We’ve only just started doing email updates – having been persuaded by various articles and videos about podcast promotion.

The following reasons come from the three of Dice Company’s regulars (so the list may be incoherent and borderline unhinged):

1. (Alex) We’re not selling anything

Our podcast will always be free. Telling stories through Dice Company is an incredible pleasure. It has brought us closer together as a group of friends and – to our surprise and utter delight – a community of listeners has sprung up (especially on the DiceCord). We do have a Patreon but we know most listeners won’t sign up – and there’s no “hard sell” here. Instead, our emails provide news and behind-the-scenes updates, and give listeners a chance to hit “reply” to tell us what we’re doing wrong!

2. (Tom) We’re totally sane, thanks for asking

Our newsletter is carefully curated by professionals who are absolutely not shouting “ROLL FOR INITIATIVE!” at random intervals. By not signing up for Dice Company’s email updates, you are technically making a choice and history will judge you for it.

3. (Dave) It’s better than LinkedIn

If you’re anything like me, you get a lot of emails from LinkedIn. Usually they contain things like: AI trends to learn about (hell, no), industry influencers to hear from (absolutely not) and people in similar jobs I might want to connect with (no thanks). By contrast, the last Dice Company email update contained; a link to a new podcast episode (yes please), info about a giveaway (cool) and an update on a game played on our discord (sounds fun).

“Dice Company email updates: for significantly better emails than the shit LinkedIn send you.”
